This year's edition of Horti Expo proved its leading role among the horticultural fairs in the centre of Poland.

Over 150 companies from 5 different countries took part in the fair, which on the area of approx. 5,000 m2 presented their achievements in the scope of horticulture, production of horticultural and agricultural equipment, fertilizers and flower raising.

Most of the exhibitors at Horti Expo Trade Fairs are small and medium enterprises. Participation in our fair enables them to promote their offer not only on the domestic market, but also abroad. For this purpose we organise specialist seminars on the situation of Polish agriculture and horticulture after Poland's accession to the EU and we invite potential consumers from Byelorussia, Russia and Ukraine.

A new elements of the Fair this year were demonstrations of manual tools used in agriculture and horticulture, carried out under the Selective Promotion Programme of the Ministry of Economy, Labour and Social Policy.

As every year, the opening ceremony of the fair was honoured by the presence of the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (on the photo second from the right - Wojciech Olejniczak, Secretary of State), local government authorities and industrial associations.

The fair was visited by nearly 10,000 experts in agriculture and horticulture as well as greenery lovers and gardening amateurs.

The wide thematic scope of the Horti Expo fairs does not only attract thousands of specialists and wholesalers, but also greenery lovers. The exhibitors present them their rich and diverse offers, which cover almost everything that is necessary in agriculture and horticulture, both on a mass scale and for amateur gardeners. With their needs in mind, we prepared a wide and diverse offer. And so, at the Horti Expo 2003 Fair we could admire almost everything that may be used in agriculture and horticulture, but also start thinking of getting a Xmas tree or try ostrich meat and other products.

At the fair, the visitors could buy various strains of plants, shrub and trees, both decorative and the fruit bearing ones. These included hundreds of types of rose and pot flowers, cactus, the newest strains of chrysanthemums, lilies, ferns and anemones, as well as less common plants, such as black hellebore and hyemalis, Adonis amurensis, trifoliatas, Canadian sanguinaira, gentianas, lithophytes and water plants, levis, rodgersia and inula. There were also fertilizers and pesticides, peats and peat bases. The visitors could also get acquainted with the newest lines of garden furniture, greenhouse objects and pond elements, or see state-of-the-art models of tractors, harvesters, spraying machines, agricultural machines and horticultural tools.

The Horti Expo Fairs are more than a horticultural event. The Mazowsze Country Festivities organised during the Fair present the cultural heritage connected with the Polish countryside and folk artists. At the Agricultural Fair, our exhibitors also meet the greenery lovers, the end users of their products in Poland.

Every year we expand the fair programme by new accompanying events, so that they become a festivity of Polish agriculture and horticulture, but also a meeting place of greenery lovers and amateur gardeners and most of all an agricultural fair of international reach.
