Competitions

As usual, Gold Silver Time is when competition results are announced, with the winning and qualified entries presented at dedicated exhibitions. The Gold Silver Time Best Product verdict by the competition Chapter was awaited eagerly; this year the main award in the competition, presented on behalf of the Minister of Economy, went to the Kłosok Jewellery Company of Rybnik for the company's dynamic development and promotion of Polish products abroad. Jarosław Westermark won Presentations 2007, the National Open Art Jewellery Competition organised by the Goldsmithing Artists' Association and MCT/ PSP (the International Fair Centre / Visual Art Studio), for his set of rings made of silver and glass. The National Commission of Goldsmiths and Jewellers of the Polish Craft Association awarded the St Eligius Medal for the Goldsmith of the Year to Karol Kowalski of Gdynia. The award-winning entries in the Gold and Silver in Handicraft Competition were at a high artistic level: in the Senior category, the Jury awarded two first prizes to Marek Mikicki Design for his Modern Lady ring with amber and cubic zirconia, and to Krzysztof Gubała for his Caprice pendant made of white and yellow gold with rubies and diamonds. The best entry in the Junior category was the Trinity necklace made of silver and amber by Joanna Jarzšb, S&A Amber Jewellery. The Best Gold Silver Time Exhibition Stand award, in a competition organised by the Polish Commercial Chamber of Amber / KIGB, was won by the Lewanowicz Company.
